Equipment
SPEC engineers and fabricates the utility systems that serve the process, such as instrument air, fuel gas conditioning and chemical injection, supplied with the process equipment or as standalone units.
Application
Utility systems are engineered with the process equipment they serve. On modular projects, utility systems can be assembled and tested with the process equipment before shipment, reducing site installation effort.
On the Ain Sifni early production facility in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Block 47 early production facility in Yemen, SPEC's scope included the utility systems alongside the process equipment.

System configuration
System configuration varies with process duty, operating conditions and project requirements.

Compressed, dried and cleaned air for pneumatic control systems, air tools and the actuation of safety systems.

Prepares gas from the process for use as fuel on the facility.

Skid with dosing pumps and tank that injects chemicals into the process.
Instrument air packages
Final equipment arrangement and delivery format depend on process duty, transport constraints and site requirements.
Scope
The utility scope follows the process equipment on the project: what has to be heated, cooled, driven, instrumented and drained. Tell us what you are specifying and our engineers will confirm the utilities that go with it.
