Delivery
SPEC's scope covered two gas treatment installations for Geo Energi Group in western Kazakhstan, both designed to put associated gas to use rather than flare it.
Makat, glycol dehydration: a skid-mounted triethylene glycol dehydration unit for flare gas treatment, with an inlet separator and valve skid, pumping skid, condensate stabilisation unit, heat exchangers, control and safety shutdown system, flare knock-out drum and stack, gas odorising unit and instrument air unit.
Balgymbaeva, hydrocarbon dew point control: a Joule-Thomson skid with gas-gas exchangers and ethylene glycol injection and regeneration, with the same supporting scope.
Both units were designed for continuous operation in Kazakh winter conditions.
